A stunning natural stone sourced from Asakusa Bay, Tsushima Island, Japan, retrieved from an underwater mine (now closed). This dark gray / bluish stone transforms into a pitch-black hue when wet.

Sealed with a stone sealer and enriched with cashew lacquer, it stands out as an ideal choice for refining both stainless and carbon steel blades. Highly compressed, they provide exceptional polishing power and wear at a slower pace compared to synthetic alternatives, ensuring enduring performance. Weighing approximately 1200g, this stone is an ideal first step into Japanese Natural Stones (JNATs).
