Returns
All our products undergo quality checks to ensure that customers receive precisely what they ordered, in excellent condition. Nonetheless, there may be occasions when you receive an item that doesn't entirely meet your expectations – in such cases, our return policy has you covered. The best part is that we don't charge any restocking fees, and everything can be easily done via your customer account.
Regularly priced items can be returned for a refund or an exchange within 30-days from the date received; items held for more than 30-days are not eligible for a refund or exchange. The item must be in an unused, original condition and returned in its original packaging. While we don't worry about the return reason, we will only cover return postage if the item was received in a damaged state. Refunds will be processed only after the item has been received and inspected at our shop, and the return shipment must include tracking: we do not issue refunds for products returned in a used or damaged state. If customers are returning the item, they are responsible for the return shipment, and if it does not reach our shop, a refund will not be issued.Â
Please allow 3-7 business days for the refund to be processed and credited to your account.
All sale and personalized items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund. This includes engraved products, custom-assembled items, and any item modified to your specifications. Once personalization has been completed, the item cannot be changed or canceled. Please review your order carefully before confirming.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Delivery Address Issues (if applicable)
In the event that a package is returned to us due to delivery issues, such as a missing apartment or unit number or a typo in the delivery address, we want to keep you informed about our policies.
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide accurate and complete delivery information during the checkout process. If a package is returned to us due to address issues, the customer will be responsible for the re-shipment costs. We will contact you to confirm the correct address and arrange for the package to be resent.
Cancellation Option: If you prefer to cancel your order instead of arranging a re-shipment, please be aware of the following charges:
1. The initial shipping cost
2. The return shipping cost charged by the courier
These charges will be deducted from the total refund amount. We encourage our customers to double-check their delivery information at the time of purchase to avoid any inconvenience.

Warranty
Kakushin prides itself for unique and modern knife styles. Similar to a car with nice large wheels that turn heads while rolling down the street, those come with a need for extra care. Running into a pot-hole with your nice large alloy wheel will bend the structure while on the other hand smaller and plain wheels made from steel might resist the shock which has no relations to the quality of the product.
In order to offer beautiful handles, we must use more than just plain plastic and in order to have sharp blades that will cut stronger and longer, we must use more than just plain soft steel. It's important to note that our knives might not resist a shock if for an example they are mishandled, dropped, put into a hot steamy dishwasher or other.
Manufacturer defects can occur, with most instances observed within the first few weeks of use. Kakushin provides a limited one-year warranty to address any manufacturing issues that may arise. However, please note that this warranty excludes defects resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, abuse, product alteration, negligence, or use beyond the intended purpose.
Following Kakushin's one-year warranty, some manufacturers—such as Grohmann, Opinel, Hazaki, Victorinox, and others—may offer additional support, extending up to a limited lifetime warranty.
How do I apply my warranty: Use the contact us page or email info@kakushin.ca in order to submit information about your request. Please be sure to include the following important details:
- Full name submitted on the initial order
- Order number (if possible)
- Description about the defect
- Pictures of the defect
Once this information is received, we will contact you with the next steps to follow. We might request to return the product for final approval of the exchange.
