When we approached Nguyên and his wife in Hanoi with the idea for a new boning knife, we asked them for something they had never made before. We wanted a knife that reflected their craftsmanship while delivering uncompromising performance for precision butchery. The custom Green Goblin.
Hand-forged in an extremely limited run of just two knives, the Green Goblin is built around a premium M390 powdered stainless steel core, clad in beautiful hand-forged Damascus. Renowned for its exceptional wear resistance, outstanding corrosion resistance, and remarkable edge retention, M390 is one of the world's most respected high-performance knife steels. Heat treated to maximize its potential, it takes an incredibly refined edge and holds it through extended use.
Unlike many traditional boning knives, the Green Goblin was intentionally designed with a stiff blade rather than a flexible one. This gives the user significantly greater control when trimming silver skin, separating muscles, removing fat, or making precise cuts where accuracy matters more than flexibility. Every aspect of the geometry was developed with precision in mind.
Because of the hardness required to achieve this level of cutting performance, this is not a knife intended for cutting through bones or twisting against hard materials. Like any high-hardness premium knife, it should be used for precision butchery rather than heavy-duty bone work. Used as intended, however, it rewards the user with extraordinary sharpness, exceptional edge retention, and an effortless cutting feel.
The full-tang construction is paired with a beautifully contoured green stabilized wood handle, secured by solid brass rivets. The vibrant green scales inspired the knife's nickname—Green Goblin—while also providing excellent durability, moisture resistance, and a comfortable grip during extended prep.
Every knife is hand-forged, hand-ground, and hand-finished by Nguyên and his wife in Vietnam. With only two examples ever produced, the Green Goblin represents not only outstanding cutting performance but also the spirit of collaboration between artisan and collector—an exclusive piece created without compromise.

The only exceptions are custom knife assemblies or engraving, which may require 3-5 days before shipping. Everything is done in-house, so even with the extra steps, it’s still exceptionally fast.
Canadian orders can say goodbye to unexpected duties, additional customs fees and exchange rate fluctuations; all our prices are clear and upfront.
