We did one… and it didn’t last. It sold almost immediately — and honestly, we weren’t planning on doing another. But months later, after getting our hands on some bronze skull elements, we figured… why not push it further.
This is Version 2.0. Once again, forged by Nguyên in Hanoi, Vietnam, we asked for that same dark, moody direction — but with even more presence. A deep blackened blade, flowing Damascus layers, a brut-forged upper section, and that signature copper-Damascus lower half that catches the light just enough to contrast the darkness.
At the core sits 52100 carbon steel — a steel that doesn’t need hype. It takes an insanely clean edge, holds it, and just feels right on the board. Thin behind the edge, smooth through food, and incredibly satisfying in use.
Built in-house, we took it further with a custom bronze-toned epoxy handle infused with skull elements — deeper tones, more contrast, more texture. The skulls aren’t just a gimmick — they’re subtle, layered into the material, almost hidden until the light hits just right. It keeps that dark, aggressive identity… but adds a level of detail that makes you look twice.
Everything about this piece is intentional.
From the tall heel for added clearance, to the weight and balance, to the way the handle and blade speak to each other — this isn’t just assembled, it’s composed.
