Hand-forged by Kakushin’s long-time friend Nguyên in the Hanoi region of Vietnam, this knife blends craftsmanship and character in every line. The copper Damascus cladding—forged from stainless steel around a 52100 carbon core—shimmers with warm contrast, offering both striking beauty and serious cutting performance. Thin behind the edge and expertly heat-treated, it glides through ingredients with ease, delivering that crisp, effortless slice only true hand-forging can achieve.
At Kakushin, this particular piece was paired onto handle #328 — a like-a-glove match.
Crafted from olive wood with a translucent epoxy tip, it reveals a fiery, volcano-like swirl within—a mesmerizing detail that feels alive under the light. The natural warmth of the olive contrasts beautifully with the metallic tones of the Damascus, creating a blade that looks as refined as it feels in hand.

The only exceptions are custom knife assemblies or engraving, which may require 3-5 days before shipping. Everything is done in-house, so even with the extra steps, it’s still exceptionally fast.
Canadian orders can say goodbye to unexpected duties, additional customs fees and exchange rate fluctuations; all our prices are clear and upfront.
