Its name comes from its primary purpose—"paring" or removing peels, pits, and other unwanted parts from fruits and vegetables. It’s perfect for precision tasks like peeling, coring, trimming, and decorative work. The small size allows for excellent control over the blade's tip and edge, while the handle’s design ensures a comfortable, secure grip.
Crafted from AUS10A steel with added vanadium, this blade delivers a razor-sharp 16° edge on both sides. Its high carbon content enhances strength, corrosion resistance, and overall durability. The handle, made from Tagayasan wood (also known as wenge or "iron sword wood"), is not only beautiful but incredibly hard and dense, designed for a confident grip. The knife's full-tang construction provides a well-balanced feel and long-lasting durability, and each one is handcrafted in Japan to guarantee top-notch quality.

Every product listed on our website is physically in stock at our shop and typically ships within 24 hours — giving us enough time for sharpening and proper packaging.
The only exceptions are custom knife assemblies or engraving, which may require 3-5 days before shipping. Everything is done in-house, so even with the extra steps, it’s still exceptionally fast.
Canadian orders can say goodbye to unexpected duties, additional customs fees and exchange rate fluctuations; all our prices are clear and upfront.
For international orders, we take care of providing the declarations documents on items from foreign countries.
